Price a raise against what your employer told the IRS, then walk in knowing what they are going to say and what the answer is. Hospital financial and compensation figures come from the named organization’s Form 990 and link to it. Outside estimates name and link their source.

What the balance sheet can and cannot show
Form 990 does not report cash available for raises or days cash on hand. This breakdown shows net assets, donor restrictions, net property, and a simple arithmetic remainder. Donor-restricted assets and property can overlap, so the remainder is not a formal accounting category. Do not describe it as cash or as money the board controls. Use it to ask for the audited financial statements and their liquidity notes.

Named compensation entries in the filing
| Name | Title | Total reported |

Form 990 total compensation is direct pay plus related-organization pay plus other compensation, and it includes deferred amounts that can spike in the year they pay out. Named entries can include physicians and other highly paid workers, not only executives. Use this late and use it once. Lead the meeting with your requested change, responsibilities and comparable pay. Use executive compensation to ask consistent questions about reward standards.

About this data. Hospital financial and compensation figures come from the named organization’s IRS Form 990 and link to that filing. Outside estimates name and link their source. Figures lag one to two years. The fiscal year shown is the year the reporting period ended, which is how hospitals name their own fiscal years; the IRS tax year for the same filing can be one lower and is shown alongside. A Form 990 can cover many hospitals, and where it does this page says so. Where a hospital did not report a figure you see “not reported”, never a zero. Published for general information only, and not legal, financial or employment advice. Most private-sector employees have federal rights to act together over pay, but public employees, supervisors, independent contractors, and some others are excluded. Section 8(g) requires a labor organization to give at least 10 days’ written notice before a strike, picket, or concerted refusal to work at a health care institution. Read the NLRB employee-rights guide and the official NLRA text, and talk to a union or labor lawyer before planning job action. This page is public records and arithmetic. If a figure does not match the filing it links to, tell us and we will correct it: corrections.
