About this data
Where the numbers come from. Financial, charity, and compensation figures identify and link their source. CMS facility data and ownership or parent context name their own sources. Nonprofit figures come from IRS Form 990 and Schedule H. Public-company figures come from SEC filings. Government figures come from audited reports, budgets, payroll, board, or agency records. Every number is labeled with the reporting organization and source. An organization-level report is never presented as if it belongs to one hospital building.
Why some records are blank. CashPayMed leaves a number blank until the hospital-to-organization relationship, reporting scope, and source are verified. For hospital-reported fields, missing stays missing: a blank means not verified or not reported. It never means zero.
What it is not. Where we say a hospital “attests” to something, that describes what it told the IRS. It is not a finding about its actual conduct, and it is not a court record. Figures are as filed for the fiscal year shown and may not reflect current policy or practice.
